The Choirs of Chingford Parish Church

Open to anyone who enjoys singing!

New members welcome …  

Our famous Boys’ Choir has made commercial CD recordings; been on radio; and sometimes appears on television (a chance to meet the stars!). As well as singing alongside the choirmen at services most Sundays in Chingford Parish Church, the choir also sings in cathedrals all over England and occasionally abroad! ·              Learning to sing well (includes some professional coaching)

·              Learning to read music

·              Having fun playing games at our Choristers Club

·              Meeting lots of new friends!

·              Working in a responsible way as equals alongside adults.

The boys rehearse on Wednesday and Friday evenings, and initially sing at one service most Sundays. (When boys are ‘admitted’ as full choristers after a couple of terms, they sing two services on a number of Sundays).

Our Girls’ Choir mostly runs separately from the boys’choir, and also offers similar opportunities. Places are available for girls aged 9 – 16, though younger members are also welcome.

The girls rehearse on Fridays at 5pm and usually sing at two Sunday services each month.

Adults: Experienced male altos, tenors or basses who enjoy the Cathedral Music repertoire are welcome to audition.  The Chingford Singers (rehearsals Monday evenings for termly concerts, etc.) welcomes Sopranos and Contraltos.
